Teamfight Tactics releases emergency patch to reduce Shaco's strength

It has been a while since the developers of Teamfight Tactics released a B-patch for the autobattler, but one has arrived again. Riot Games is jumping in to curb the rise of Dark Star units, specifically Shaco, in patch 10.8b.

 

With items like Guardian Angel, Bloodthirster, and Infinity Edge, Shaco had become a true menace in Teamfight Tactics. After all the other Dark Star units had died, the jester would deal so much damage that almost no unit could even withstand a single blow anymore, let alone a critical strike. While bringing down Shaco's spell power and the level two Dark Star synergy bonus, Shaco's raw attack damage is being increased to save him from falling into unplayability. The full changes to Shaco and Dark Stars are:

 

  • Dark Star Bonus Attack Damage and Ability Power: 25/35/45 ⇒ 25/30/35
  • Shaco Attack Damage: 50 ⇒ 70
  • Shaco Starting/Total Mana: 0/60 ⇒ 30/80
  • Shaco Spell Power: 300/325/350% ⇒ 200/225/250%

 

Additionally, the TFT developers are using the opportunity to give Syndra a small buff. The Star Guardian Sorcerer will now start each round with 65 mana instead of 50, allowing her to cast her ultimate faster for the first time.
