TSM refused to be satisfied with a top 4 finish in the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs, and defined the off-season right from the start in bringing Doublelift back into the fold of the baylife banner. Leena Xu, President of esports organization TSM, faces controversy after screenshots from the team's Discord were used in a video by Duncan "Thorin" Shields. In one screenshot, Xu claims to have attempted to approach many players from Europe on behalf of TSM, and that the players she approached were under contract at the time of her reaching out. Inven Global has confirmed with a source close to the situation that organizations across the globe often go unpunished for the ways in which they circumnavigate certain rules when seeking to sign a player.
