Drama erupts over xQc streamer tier list

Despite recent controversy over his gambling streams, Felix "xQc" Lengyel has declared himself the Face Of Twitch in a recent streamer tier list he created.

On June 14, xQc shared his streamer tier list with his millions of fans. He decided to rank 50 total streamers, including familiar faces like Mizkif, Ludwig, Asmongold, and Pokimane, as well as some newer streamers on the come-up. The tier list went from F (Face Of Twitch) to D, the bottom tier.

xQc currently has nearly 11 million followers on Twitch, making him one of the top streamers on the streaming platform. Despite (or due) to controversies over the years, xQc has continued to be one of the most-viewed streamers whether it's playing an FPS game, watching courtroom drama, or streaming popular cooking reality shows. So it's no surprise that xQc put himself as one of the F tier streamers. But who else made it to the top with him?

Twitch community reacts to xQc streamer tier list

There were some surprising choices in xQc's tier list, including putting Imane "Pokimane" Anys in B-tier despite her continued popularity. He claimed she could be A-tier if she "wanted" to. Ninja being in C-tier was also something of a shock, although he is no longer the immensely popular online icon he was at his peak.

Tyler1, a prominent figure in the League of Legends community, was listed in F-tier. Despite the compliment, Tyler1 said "nobody cares" about the tier list. While a bunch of his fans agreed that the tier list shouldn't matter at all, it did rile up some content creators.

One of the most outspoken haters of xQc's tier list was Hasan "HasanAbi" Piker, who was put in B-tier. On stream, Matthew "Mizkif" Rinaudo saw some screenshots of HasanAbi's rant on Discord, prompting Mizkif to say making a streamer tier list is a "s—y thing to do" because it's sure to cause drama in some way.

HasanAbi had said: “I don’t give a f— about xQc’s tier list. I’m just no longer capable of being charitable when he regularly s—s on me in his chat and is overall doing bad s— for endless bags of money like streaming crypto gambling to thousands. I have been annoyed with him and [the tier list] was the straw.”

"I unironically hate him a little now," HasanAbi added on Discord.

xQc reacted to the outburst from HasanAbi, stating that he had previously predicted that the B-tier placement would ruffle the streamer's feathers. Despite the risk of starting drama with a bunch of popular streamers on Twitch, xQc went ahead with the tier list anyway, and his prediction came true.

xQc did seem genuinely annoyed with HasanAbi's messages, specifically one where he called out xQc and Asmongold for "farming" the Amber Heard vs. Johnny Depp trial for viewership.

"I don't like the language here, it's f—ing disgusting," xQc said after reading the messages on stream. "I don't want to do personal attacks but I think this is just pure projection. Calling people out for doing a piece of content, calling it 'farming it,' [...] This is just how he sees events and trending world news... He has to farm it."

More reactions will most likely come out over time regarding xQc's controversial tier list.
