'Faker' Lee Sang-hyeok is set to appear in his first regular variety show. Lee, the star player for the League of Legends (LoL) esports team T1, will join the cast of the Disney+ original series 'Murder Club'.

Disney+ confirmed on the 15th that 'Murder Club' will premiere on the 29th, releasing the main poster and a teaser trailer. 'Murder Club' is an AI-powered mystery deduction game show where celebrities become suspects in different eras and settings each episode, tasked with identifying the single culprit. The stage changes every episode—from a baseball stadium to the Joseon Dynasty and even a prison—and the cast increases immersion by personally reenacting AI-generated murder mystery episodes.

The player lineup features prominent figures from various fields, including Faker, travel YouTuber Pani Bottle, comedians Choi Yang-rak and Um Ji-yoon, actor Shin Sung-rok, former civil servant Kim Sun-tae, singer Changmin, baseball player Kim Hyun-soo, Beomgyu of the group Tomorrow X Together (TXT), and 'Culinary Class Wars' chef Park Joo-sung. The released teaser shows even Faker, known for his sharp intellect, unable to hide his confusion and bewilderment during the game.

Faker debuted in 2013 and has been with T1 for 13 years. Late last year, he set a record with his fifth and sixth LoL World Championship titles, including three consecutive wins. Earlier this year, he was awarded the Blue Dragon Medal, the highest honor in sports, by President Yoon Suk Yeol for his contributions to the development of esports. 'Murder Club' will be released on Disney+ on the 29th.
