
Full details have been unveiled for 'Pokémon Mega Festa 2026,' a city-wide celebration in Seoul marking the 30th anniversary of Pokémon.
Pokémon Mega Festa 2026 is the largest event in the franchise's history, kicking off in Seoul on May 1. It will feature a wide array of attractions, including exhibitions, pop-up stores, tournaments, running events, and exclusive merchandise.

The first three events begin on May 1 in Seoul Forest and Seongsu. The 'Pokémon Secret Forest,' hidden within Seoul Forest, will be presented as part of the 2026 Seoul International Garden Show. Running from May 1 to June 21 at Seoul Forest in Seongdong-gu, the site will also feature a shop selling new, original Pokémon store merchandise.
In Seongsu, visitors can enjoy the 'Metamon Playground' and the 'Pokémon 30th Anniversary Party Pop-up Store.' The Metamon Playground will be located at 9 Seongsu-i-ro 7-ga-gil and will run until June 21, while the 30th Anniversary Party Pop-up Store will be open at Trend Pot by Olive Young N Seongsu until May 31.
While specific details about the Metamon Playground have yet to be released, it will feature exhibitions and a store. The pop-up store will offer exclusive items, including the Pokémon Center 30th Anniversary 'Pika Pika! Pikachu' plushies and keychains, as well as 'Pokémon Store Birthday Party Edition' products.

On Children's Day, May 5, the special 'Pokémon Run 2026' event will take place. Held around the Ttukseom Hangang Park area in Seoul, participation requires the purchase of a Pokémon Run ticket. In addition to the marathon, the event will feature various activities hosted by partner companies, including Pokémon GO.
The final event is 'Pokémon Sports Day 2026,' held over two days on May 24 and 25 at COEX Hall C in Samseong-dong, Seoul. As the name suggests, the event will focus on competitive gaming, featuring the 'Pokémon Trainers Cup 2026,' the South Korean national qualifiers for the 'Pokémon Trading Card Game 2026 Korean League Finals,' and a mobile 'Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket' event match.
Attendees can also enjoy a variety of other content, including 30th-anniversary exhibitions, interactive experiences, stage events, and a Pokémon store selling original merchandise. Admission is free, and further details regarding the program will be released at a later date.
