SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. February 12th -- Esports aggregation platform Juked.gg has announced it raised a $800,000 pre-seed round to accelerate development of its one-stop-destination for esports entertainment.

Juked launched in beta in September 2019 with the goal of making it easier to discover and watch the best content in esports by centralizing everything fans need in one place: tournament broadcasts, schedules, calendars, brackets, standings, player/team profiles, and more. This investment gives Juked the resources needed to expand its product offering to include features like scores, stats, news aggregation, esports team portals, and begin monetization.

500 Startups, the world renowned startup accelerator located in the San Francisco Bay Area, led the round. Other investors include Blizzard Entertainment co-founder Mike Morhaime and former VP of Esports Amy Morhaime, MyFitnessPal co-founders Mike and Albert Lee, RotoGrinders.com co-founders Cameron MacMillan and Cal Spears, Twitch streamer CohhCarnage, UP2398 General Partner Alex Poon, CP Ventures General Partner Chris Sang, and Nat Goldhaber, Managing Director of Claremont Creek Ventures. The round also included the AngelList syndicate Noveus Capital in addition to friends and family.

Juked was founded by Ben “FishStix” Goldhaber and Chris “ChanManV” Chan, industry veterans with over 25 years of combined experience, who were frustrated by the lack of a good way to follow the biggest leagues, tournaments, and events across the esports industry. While the company is still young, Juked has lofty ambitions to lower the barrier to entry to becoming an esports fan, and to play a central role in growing esports fandom for decades to come.
