On the first day of the Eternal Return tournament at the Esports Championships Asia 2026 (ECA 2026), held at the Jinju Indoor Gymnasium in Gyeongsangnam-do on the 25th, South Korea's Yangju Wales secured first place with 111 points, while Daegu Guardians followed in second with 109.5 points.

The Eternal Return event features eight teams from five countries: South Korea (2), Japan (2), China (2), Vietnam (1), and Thailand (1). For countries with two participating teams, the average of their points is used for the standings. For today's opening day, the checkpoint threshold was set at 15 points above the cumulative point leader.
Rounds 1 through 6 were held on the first day. As expected, South Korea's Yangju Wales and Daegu Guardians demonstrated superior skill to comfortably take the top two spots. They were followed by the two Chinese teams in 3rd and 4th, Thailand in 5th, Japan in 6th and 7th, and Vietnam in 8th place.
Daegu Guardians' 'Curry' was named today's MVP. 'Curry' delivered an outstanding performance, recording a combined damage output of over 50,000 across the 5th and 6th rounds, where they were also named MVP.
Meanwhile, the checkpoint rule will be applied on the second day, which begins on the 26th at 2:00 PM. The competition will continue until one of the teams that has reached the point threshold secures a final victory.
