Riot Games unveils TFT ‘Gods of the Universe’ set events and introductory content

Riot Games has unveiled a slate of introductory content and player events ahead of the launch of Teamfight Tactics (TFT) set ‘Gods of the Universe’.

According to a release, players were able to preview the new set on TFT’s Public Beta Environment (PBE), including champions reimagined with a god-inspired theme and the new ‘Sanctuary of the Gods’ reward system. The set was scheduled to launch on live servers on Wednesday, the 15th.

Riot Games also launched a dedicated event page designed to help players adjust to the new set during the PBE period and after its full release.

On that page, the ‘God-given Guide’ section featured content from TFT creators including Jeonsseut, Gorapadoong and Lolchegozzi, who introduced key mechanics and shared gameplay tips. According to the release, players were also able to review their play tendencies and earn rewards through the ‘God of the Universe Test Event’, which began on Wednesday, the 8th.

Riot said it planned to continue running events after the set’s official launch. Registration for a TFT amateur tournament tied to the new set was set to begin on Wednesday, the 15th.

In addition, from Friday, the 17th, players were able to enter events such as the ‘Play of the Gods Event’ and the ‘God-Possessed Ranking Event’, with rewards available for participation. According to the release, one of the promotions offered players the chance to win prizes by playing a single match.

Teamfight Tactics is Riot Games’ autobattler strategy title set in the wider League of Legends universe. The game regularly introduces new sets that refresh its champion pool, traits and gameplay systems, often accompanied by themed events and creator-led guides intended to help players learn the format.
