After six years, the LPL and LCK have finally found themselves back in a Worlds Finals match against each other, and it marks the first best of five series between the two regions of the 2020 World Championship.

UPDATE 10/20: Mark "RiotScruffy" Yetter has Tweeted changes coming to League of Legends in Patch 10.22 that he claims are 'not 100% locked but pretty close. In addition, it was confirmed in another Tweet that a bug affecting Kindred's Mark of the Kindred passive would be fixed in 10.22.

Top Esports came into the tournament as favorites alongside DAMWON Gaming but almost made an early exit in the quarterfinals when Fnatic got a 2-0 lead over them. It's no secret, the LPL has the best AD carries! This year we're graced by World Champion, JackeyLove, but also by his former teammate and understudy, huanfeng. The Suning AD carry showed up big in his series against JD Gaming, and it made the difference. Read more about his MVP performance here:
In what was considered an upset by many, Suning Gaming took down JD Gaming in the League World Championship quarterfinals. This was Suning's first series victory against JDG in almost 800 days: See the press conference here:
In the second quarterfinals of the 2020 League World Championship, Suning wiped out JDG in a dominant 3-1 series. Off the backs of some incredible Jhin play from huanfeng and a bunch of Bin's GP barrels, Suning advances to the semifinals. Read about the series here:

While each DAMWON member deserves a shoutout for their victory over DRX, the biggest difference-maker for the team was none other than Nuguri. He was the huge teamfight monster the team needed to close out the games confidently. Read more on his and DWG's performance here:
In a press release leading up to Worlds, Riot announced that they'd attempt to host guests for the big title match, and later in the tournament, they confirmed that they'd invite just over 6,000 guests to attend the grand finale.
