Extremely annoying. His Q will oneshot your voidlings even early. Save E + W for after he uses Q. You can't effectively prevent his roaming due to this.

Extremely annoying. Her Q + W will always oneshot voidlings, making it hard to push her in if she knows what she's doing. They have much shorter cooldowns than you as well. Save E + W until after she uses her spells.

Why Double Tear Malzahar?

Malzahar is a strange champion. He's somewhat a mixture between a control mage and an assassin. He lacks the burst of a true assassin, but also lacks some of the qualities of a true control mage. This build seeks to give him the power of both truly combined.


Malzahar's W, his voidlings, have far more AD scaling than AP. They tear through towers and Malzahar's ult targets, as well as minion waves!

The AD from Manamune/Muramana and Gunblade make his little voidlings hit like a truck. They also apply the single target healing from Gunblade, giving this build very good sustain, in both health and mana.


Malzahar's main damage and mana sustain comes from his E. Every minion killed while affected by his E restores a % of his maximum mana. Late game, you will only need to kill ~2-3 minions to make up the mana lost from your E + W. ( For reference, your E + W should reliable AT LEAST one whole wave).


Muramana's passive doesn't proc on Malzahar's W or his E despite being single target. However, it does apply to Gunblade's active and Malzahar's ult, giving him a respectable amount of burst compared to normal Malzahar.
