SKT Faker, "Our goal is to win all matches in the second round of the summer split. Today’s win is just a step to reach there."

28th July, LoL park Seoul, SKT T1 faced Griffin, one of the top dogs in LCK, and defeated them by 2-1. It was the first victory SKT won against GRF. Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, the mid laner of SKT told his opinion about their seven-game winning streak. He emphasized today’s win as just another step for “winning all matches in the second round of the summer split”.

Your team, SKT, is already on a seven-game winning streak. How do you feel about this?

Since our record was so bad in the first round of summer split, this is not the time to celebrate. Our goal is to win all matches in the second round of the summer split. Today’s win is just a step to reach there.

Your team went up from 7th place to 5th at LCK standings.

It is hard to be satisfied with being 5th in the LCK. But, it’s definitely better than 7th. We still have a lot of steps to go.

Can you explain why you picked LeBlanc?

We wanted to pick a champion that’s strong during the mid and late game, so I picked LeBlanc.

You faced Sylas in games 1 and 2 with Corki.

I think Sylas may be better against Corki during the laning phase. The stadium was so cold during game 1 and that may have affected me or maybe it was because of rain...  But, I was able to concentrate more on game 2.

Mid lane Tristana is hot in other leagues. Do you think you would pick her someday?

Some players that played Tristana must have been affected by my streams. (Laughs) I’m always of open-minded during the draft; I’ll pick her if I have a chance.

Any last comments?

I think we just started now. I’ll do my best to win more.
