EDG Ray Hosts an AMA in a Korean Community Website

EDG Ray is a known user of the Korean community website called "FM Korea (Football Manager Korea)". As a football fan himself, on his free time, he uses the ID "피파프로지망생"  and interacts with the users.

After losing against Fnatic in the Quarterfinals, on the 22nd of October (KST), he hosted a personal AMA with the FM Korea users. Let's see some of the answers he left bellow.

The following is the Korean-English translation of the AMA.

Q. Are you moving teams?

I think I'll stay until next year.

Q. Are you currently on a vacation?

Yes, I am... Finally...

Q. Who is this guy?
I'm Ray, an LPL top laner playing for EDG.

Q. Your coaches, NoFe and Hermes were known for their defensive plays in their pro career. Now that they're a coach, similar to their playstyles, do they ask the players to use defensive macros as well?

Defensive? Currently, there's no such thing as a 'defensive' macro in the LPL because every single team focuses on playing aggressively. In case of my team, they coach us on basics and ways on how to snowball. Well, it's mostly based on the team.

Q. What are the strengths and weaknesses of coach NoFe and Reapered?

Reapered taught me the basic structure of how to play the game in general. Then NoFe taught me how to utilize those basics. I'm so lucky since I was able to receive feedback from the best people in the LoL scene. It's such an honor. There are no weaknesses I can point out; I can only think about strengths.

Q. What was up with that sudden acceleration in the last game...

I agree. I don't know who did that play but... (notes: Ray played Sion on the Quarterfinals game 4)

Q. Why did you do that hasty acceleration twice in the last game?

No comment. (I'm serious)

Q. So, now that you've played against Fnatic... Are they good?

I thought they played well as a team. Although I do think that we were better in laning, it's obvious a team that has good teamwork eventually wins. Well, LoL is a 'team' game.

Q. Which team do you think would win the Worlds? Wait... Are you allowed to answer this?

My former team, C9. Let's become the first NA Words champions!

Q. Please save SKT.
Who will be the one to save SKT...

Q. What would be the best champion composition for this Worlds meta? Which champions would you choose if there were no bans?

Hm... I'm not so sure since the meta is changing every game. The best comp is: Urgot-Taliyah-Galio-Xayah-Alistar (Nocturne, Camille). Mixing in Irelia, LeBlanc and Lee Sin would be okay.

Q. Which team was the toughest in scrims?

RNG.

Q. Are there any other pro gamers that use FM Korea?

I am an FM Korea user in a pro gamer's clothing.

Q. Are you going to buy the new version of FM (Football Manager)?

Yeah, I'll buy it tomorrow.

Q. Ronaldo vs. Messi.

I personally like Ronaldo more but Messi seems like the better player.

Q. Which top laner was the toughest to go against?

Impact. If it's just about individual performance, he was the toughest to face.

Q. Do the Korean LPL players receive at least 100,000,000 Korean Won(approx 88,325 USD) per year?

No. When I first played in China I received 1,200,000 Korean Won (approx 1,060 USD) per month. I wasn't a popular player so that's why I received so little. It depends on the team.
