On the 3rd match of the 2018 MSI Group Stage Day 5, TeamLiquid defeated the Flash Wolves and kept the hopes of qualifying for the semifinals alive.
The game had started in favor of FW. With Xmithie being put behind by the early death, TL had to play from the behind. However, as the game progressed, the NA champions put good use of their composition, picking out unsuspecting enemies with Malzahar and pulling off flawless initiations with Ornn and Gragas. With the table set, Doublelift was able to pop off, carrying his team to a possible tie-breaker.
After the series, Olleh was invited for an interview with Sjokz.
Congratulations on your victory! What did it mean for you guys to have won that?
It's finally the Doublelift and Olleh bot duo comeback.
I feel really good, but I need to calm down since we still have a game left to play.
Doublelift is playing phenomenally. Is that how you guys will continue playing? Putting most of the resources on Doublelift?
We have a lot of ways to play, but when I play good enough, Doublelift plays really well. On the first day, however, I played poorly, and as a result, Doublelift couldn't shine. Whenever I play well or even just passably, Peter plays super well.
How is your mental state now? How confident are you?
On the first day, I thought our team was going to be really strong because our scrims were going really well.
When we lost, I realized that my mental state wasn't good. So I asked my coach that I needed a break. It's going well now.
What is the most important thing for you guys when going up against RNG?
I want to prove ourselves by defeating RNG. And if we do, I'll feel that we deserve to advance. I don't want to rely on Fnatic losing to EVS. I want to prove to the fans that we're a strong team.
Do you have anything you want to tell your fans?
I'm really sorry that I underperformed and that I took a break. It was unprofessional of me, but I needed to step down for a bit because I was getting too nervous.
