KZ Khan: "For today's performance, I'd give myself a 3 out of 10."

On the 5th game of the 2018 MSI Group Stage Day 1, Kingzone DragonX defeated Royal Never Gives Up for their second win of the day.

Khan, the renowned LCK toplaner that's well-known for his carry toplane picks, applied constant pressure on the enemy team with Camille. He overpowered his lane opponent for an early solo-kill, and much later in the game, even sacrificed himself so that his team can secure Baron. With great judgment backed by his great mechanics, Khan led his team to victory.

The following is Sjokz's interview with Khan.

You guys got super far ahead early on, but the game slowed down towards the end. You even had to sacrifice yourself in the bottom lane for your team to take the Baron. Why did it slow down?

I had to make that sacrifice a 7 to 10 minutes earlier than I did during that game. I think I made that mistake because I was nervous. I'll make sure to address this during feedback and do better in the future.

How do you rate your team performance so far?

Although we won 2-0, we could've finished our games faster. If I was to give a score to my performance, I'd give a 3 out of 10. I'll do my best to get a 10 out of 10.

You played Camille today, and we know that you love playing carry toplane. How will that pick-flexibility contribute to Kingzone later on in the tournament?

It'll definitely pressure our opponents. If our botlane needs to play aggressively, we can. If I need to make a personal sacrifice [and play tanks] we can also do that. We can easily shift our playstyle and that'll definitely put pressure on the enemy.
