Akatsuki Games announced on the 2nd that it has released Chapter 12 of the main story, 'X-OVER,' and added a new 5-star character, 'Lightning Piercing the Sky: Gen Narumi,' to the RPG 'Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME,' which was co-produced with Toho and Production I.G.

The newly released Chapter 12, 'X-OVER,' begins as the international defense organization CLOZER initiates an expedition to gather defense forces from around the world in New York ahead of a decisive battle against the enemy, 'Dimensional Identification Kaiju No. A.' Gen Narumi, captain of the First Division in Japan, refuses to join the expedition, stating, "I must remain in Japan." As Rin Shinonome and the First Division members struggle with their limitations in his absence, the story unfolds when the scientist Suit proposes a new piece of equipment currently under development: the 'X-OVER Suit.'

The new 5-star playable character, 'Lightning Piercing the Sky: Gen Narumi,' wears a specially calibrated CLOZER suit. Developed alongside the suit, the Dimensional Identification Kaiju Weapon 'Numbers 1' is designed as contact lens-type equipment that amplifies electrical signals within the body, releasing the amplified energy as attacks through gauntlet-type equipment.

A pickup gacha event is also being held to celebrate the character's release. During the event, the acquisition rate for the 5-star character 'Lightning Piercing the Sky: Gen Narumi' and his exclusive 5-star bayonet weapon, 'GS-Aremic,' will be increased. Additionally, a special event is underway where players can earn up to 1500 Crystals by progressing through the story and participating in Score Battle content.
