KONAMI has released information and screenshots regarding the Korean localization of its new baseball simulation game, 'eBaseball: Pro Baseball Spirits 2026.' The game will launch worldwide on July 16 for PlayStation 5 and Steam, marking the first time in the series that Korean subtitles are supported.
This title features the newly developed 'eBaseball Engine,' which focuses on delivering a more realistic experience, including ball trajectories, player animations, crowd reactions, and commentary. Korean is included as one of four supported languages, alongside Japanese, English, and Traditional Chinese.
However, there are some limitations to the Korean localization. KONAMI stated that for Korean and Traditional Chinese, certain game-specific expressions, as well as Japanese-specific stadium names, player names, and team names, will remain untranslated. Additionally, Korean and Traditional Chinese support will be available via an update scheduled for release shortly after launch; at the time of release, only English and Japanese will be available.
In terms of content, the '2026 World Baseball Classic' mode is a key highlight. It features national team players such as Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, Ronald Acuña Jr., Juan Soto, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Randy Arozarena, and Lee Jung-hoo, and includes a recreation of LoanDepot Park (Miami), the site of the actual WBC final. The Japanese national team that won past WBC tournaments is included as special content, and the game reflects the latest 2026 Japanese professional baseball rosters, including rookie drafts, international signings, and returning players.
Furthermore, the Season mode introduces a new 'Active Draft' system for signing and reorganizing players after the season ends, and the high school baseball mode 'Hakkyu No Kiseki' now includes the Designated Hitter (DH) rule. Players can also enjoy Live Scenario, Home Run Derby, Star Player, and Team Edit modes.
Pre-orders are currently available on the PlayStation Store and Steam. All pre-order customers will receive a 'Shohei Ohtani' (SAMURAI JAPAN 2026) player card.
