Daewon Media, which previously revived Sonnori's iconic title Astonishia Story, is now set to showcase another classic, Forgotten Saga, at PlayX4.

On the 7th, Daewon Media released a teaser video for Forgotten Saga via its official YouTube channel. The video begins with a computer booting up on an old CRT monitor, followed by a classic dialogue box displaying the prompt, 'What is your name?' After asking for the names of a girlfriend and an imaginary girlfriend, the video concludes with the Forgotten Saga logo, signaling a new beginning for the game.

Forgotten Saga was released in 1997 as a highly anticipated new title from Sonnori, which, alongside Softmax’s The War of Genesis series, was at the center of the domestic RPG market. Following repeated delays after its initial announcement, the game was criticized as unfinished upon release due to a barrage of bugs that made it nearly unplayable. Nevertheless, its sales grew steadily, and its appeal—driven by a flexible party-building system and a wide variety of events—kept players coming back.

The phrases featured in the teaser were, in fact, among the core questions asked during character creation, where players would name the protagonist and the heroine. The teaser also features the game's acclaimed, high-quality background music.

Daewon teased the game's appearance at PlayX4 2026, stating, 'Your story, forgotten in legend, is about to be revealed.' Game Lab, the division responsible for Daewon Media's gaming business, handles publishing for titles such as Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE and Death end re;Quest Code Z, while also participating in game development through collaborations with other companies.

In particular, their production portfolio includes numerous classic IPs beloved by fans, starting with Snow Bros., followed by Hwanse Chuihojeon+ and Fortress S. Last year, they also released Sonnori's previous title, Astonishia Story.

PlayX4 2026, where the first look at Forgotten Saga will be unveiled, kicks off on May 21 at KINTEX. Further details regarding the game and its release are expected to be revealed during the event.
