Mgame (CEO Kwon Yi-hyeong) announced on the 27th that it has updated its popular comic martial arts MMORPG 'Scions of Fate' with a new class, 'Jin Pung-baek,' and launched a commemorative event.

The newly added 'Jin Pung-baek' is the third disciple of the original work's Heavenly Demon. Born with the special 'Cheon-eum-gu-jeol-maek' constitution, he is a supreme master possessing near-infinite internal energy. His manic combat prowess, fitting his nickname 'The Demon Who Summons Blood Rain,' has been faithfully recreated in the game.

In the game, Jin Pung-baek appears as a ranged character who uses a bead-shaped weapon called 'Blood Rain Bead' (Hyeol-u-hwan) by flicking it with his fingers. Staying true to the original work where he consumes his own vitality to unleash destructive martial arts, he features berserker-like traits: his attack power increases dramatically as his health drops, and he has a chance to revive just before being defeated to exact a final revenge.

Alongside this character update, Scions of Fate will launch a new server, also named 'Jin Pung-baek,' on April 29. This marks the first new server in approximately six years since 2020, as the company aims to attract a large influx of players.

In addition, a variety of events will be held until June 3 to celebrate the update featuring the new class and the new 'Jinpungbaek' server.

First, exceptional support items will be provided to help players settle into the new 'Jin Pung-baek' server. All players who log in and enter a serial code during the event period will receive a package of essential items, including the 'Life and Death Book' (which protects experience points), 'Auxiliary Bag' (which expands inventory space), and the 'Birami-hwan' (an Ascension 5 accessory) to facilitate rapid growth.

Dedicated content to support the development of the new character has also been prepared. The 'Raise Jin Pung-baek' event rewards players with useful items upon reaching specific levels, and the player who achieves the highest level during the event period will be awarded a special prize as the ultimate Jin Pung-baek expert.

Other events include a party bonus that increases experience and 'Gi-yeon' (affinity) acquisition by 50% when hunting in a party with a Jin Pung-baek, and an hourly quiz event that grants buffs. Players can also receive various buffs by taking a commemorative photo with the 'Jin Pung-baek NPC' in the Hyunbalpa village, and a cooperative event has been added where all players must work together to defeat a giant event monster.

Kang Young-soon, Director of the Scions of Fate Business Division, stated, "We have prepared content that preserves the identity of the original work and a wealth of events to meet the expectations of players who have long awaited the arrival of the Jin Pung-baek character." He added, "Starting with this update, we plan to continuously introduce diverse content, including new dungeons for top-level players."
