KT Lehends: "My goal is to win the championship... We already have one loss, so we’ll finish the season 17-1."

In the 2023 LCK Summer Split match between KT Rolster and Liiv SANDBOX held on Jun. 18, KT Rolster swept Liiv SANDBOX 2-0 and collected their third win of the season. With the win, KT Rolster tied themselves in 2nd place alongside T1 and Dplus KIA. After the match, coach Choi “supreme” Seung-min and support Son “Lehends” Si-woo joined the media to talk about the game and the remaining season.

How do you evaluate today’s game?

supreme: I thought Liiv SANDBOX was a difficult team to face. I’m happy that we beat them to continue our flow.

Lehends: Although we won 2-0, they prepared well in game 1, and there were areas we lacked as well. I’m happy that we won.

Game 1 wasn’t easy. What do you think about the game?

Lehends: There are many things to fix, but the opponent did really well in the draft. We gained benefits through our plays, but it’s a bit regretful that we weren’t able to snowball through it well.

You finished week 2 with two straight wins. What do you think you need to improve?

supreme: We’re well aware of the objectives and in-game strategies we need to have during the games, so I’m satisfied. We would need to improve our draft and matchups by thinking more and doing more research.

You picked Azir in both games despite the fact that it can be countered by Clozer’s Akali.

supreme: Bdd picked Azir often, and I thought the opponent would have more pressure if we picked it early. Azir has been buffed, so it’s a pretty good champion. I didn’t worry about getting countered.

Why did you pick Rakan in game 1?

Lehends: In that situation, Rakan was a great champion to start fights, and it’s good to play defensively as well.

You’ll be meeting strong teams next week. How confident are you?

Lehends: My goal is to win the championship. Although they may be stronger than others, I’ll think they’re the same when we play them.

You were a bit inconsistent in previous teams, but you’re doing great this season. What’s the reason?

Lehends: I wasn’t as mature when I was in lower-tier teams, and I was naive as a pro player. I learned a lot from great players when I played for Gen.G last year. Thanks to that, I can deliver what I learned to the other players now.

Any last comments?

supreme: We’ll prepare well and show a good performance. Thank you to the fans who cheered for us.

Lehends: We won a lot, and we’ll keep winning. We already have one loss, so we’ll finish the season 17-1.
