In a post on his Twitter account, Mads "Broxah" Brock-Pedersen has announced that he will not be competing in any region to start the year, and will continue his work in content creation with Team Liquid in 2023. This follows a year of focusing on this venture with the North American organization. While Broxah stated that he remains open to returning to professional play, his current focus is on creating entertaining and educational League content — primarily on YouTube and Twitch.
"At the end of last year, I decided that while I'm still motivated and confident in my abilities as a player, teammate and leader, I'm not going to accept any offer. It would simply need to feel right," Broxah stated in his Twitter post. "And right now, being a content creator for Team Liquid feels right. Steve and Victor are incredible CEO's, and their core values are very close to my own. They have built an organization that I'm proud to represent and want to be a part of going forward."
Though the door doesn't appear to be closed for Broxah's return to competitive play, it's clear he enjoys his role as a content creator. He went on to state he is open to analyst and casting opportunities — something he engaged in with the LEC throughout 2022.
Broxah has been in the competitive League community for many years — initially competing in Europe with Copenhagen Wolves. After competing with several small organizations, he rose to larger prominence with Fnatic in 2017. In his time competing the LEC, he has earned three EU 3rd All Pro Team honors, as well as two EU 1st All Pro Team honors. He has won an LEC Championship, and made it to the finals of Worlds 2018. How later competed in the LCS with Team Liquid and Counter Logic Gaming.
