UPDATED Nov. 18: A report by Pablo "Bloop" Suárez states that TSM are reportedly signing Hong Kong Attitude head coach Wong "Chawy" Xing Lei as their new head coach ahead of the 2022 LCS season. Chawy, a former professional mid laner, will replace Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg, who has left the organization after one year as head coach following his retirement at the end of the 2020 season. Bjergsen is reportedly looking to play again in 2022 as the new mid laner for Team Liquid.

According to a report by Dot Esports, TSM is looking to acquire Team Liquid AD carry Edward "Tactical" Ra and G2 Esports support Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle. Both players are currently under contract with their respective organizations, which mean TSM would need to acquire both players via buyout.

TSM has yet to make any signings this off-season. The organization's owner, founder & CEO Andy "Reginald" Dinh confirmed via the TSM subreddit that top laner Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon, who joined TSM ahead of the 2021 season, and jungler Mingyi "Spica" Lu, who first signed with TSM Academy after the 2019 LCS Spring Split and was promoted to the LCS less than sixth months later, would remain with the team through 2022.

Aside from retaining Huni and Spica, however, TSM has done nothing aside from parting ways with multiple members of the organization.

Head coach Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg has left the team to reportedly return to a playing career as the new mid laner of Team Liquid.

Support Hu "SwordArt" Shuo-Chieh, who was signed before the 2021 season to a two-year, $6 million contract, has also left the team.

TSM also parted ways with 2021 mid laner Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage, who has since been signed by Immortals. AD carry Lawrence "Lost" Hui was acquired by Golden Guardians.

An acquisition of Tactical could be simple for TSM. The AD carry played for TSM Academy in 2019, and while his sophomore year in the LCS could arguably considered a sidegrade to the performance of Lost, TSM may know how to return Tactical to the promising young talent he was at Worlds 2020 with Team Liquid.

Mikyx's acquisition, however, could be far more complicated. According to a report by Pablo "Bloop" Suárez during the Dot Esports Free Agency Show earlier this week, TSM's acquisition of Mikyx has been bumpy due to the G2 support's $1.5 million buyout. However, Bloop also stated that the deal was already in process and should be done soon.
