Trick retires as a pro gamer

Kim "Trick" Kang-yun has retired from professional League of Legends. On Jan. 6, Trick said goodbye to pro gamer life, mentioning that it was really fun and that he'll miss LEC, the players and teammates, LCK, and fans.

 

Trick debuted through CJ Entus in 2014 as the jungle substitute for Kang "Ambition" Chan-yong. In 2016, he moved to Europe and joined G2 Esports to be their starting jungler. Trick won the EU LCS championship for four consecutive seasons while being with G2 Esports and was voted as the season MVP twice.

 

In 2018, he returned to the LCK and joined bbq Olivers but the team was relegated to Challengers Korea. Moving on, Trick returned to Europe and played for Galaktikos (TCL), FC Schalke 04, and SK Gaming.
