On the 16th (KST), the 10.19 patch for League of Legends was implemented across all servers. With it, a new set for Teamfight Tactics called “Fates”, which includes brand new classes, synergies, champions, and items were patched in as well.

To celebrate the release of TFT: Fates, Riot Korea partnered up with hip-hop artist/rapper, “MUSHVENOM”, once again, to release a new theme song called “Face Your Fate”. Riot’s previous collaboration with MUSHVENOM for TFT: Galaxies’ theme song was well-received across the community, as the catchphrase, “DUDUDUNGA (Korean: ㄷㄷㄷㅈ)” captured the hearts of many fans worldwide and had the viewers spamming the catchphrase in Twitch chat during LCK streams. Due to such popularity, MUSHVENOM was even invited to perform in the opening ceremony for the 2020 LCK Spring finals.

The lyrics of this song also gave tribute to some popular LoL memes, such as ‘Yasuo = Science’ and ‘Can you turn off the lights?’,  a phrase said by T1’s mid laner, Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, in T1’s KLEVV commercial. The biggest part about this song, however, would have to be the catchphrase, “WEPNDNGDNG (Pronounced WEPUNGDANGDANG; Korean: ㅇㅍㄷㄷ)". It’s proven that the collaboration between MUSHVENOM and TFT works, so it’ll be curious to see if this new song will reach the same level of popularity as DUDUDUNGA.
