DWG ShowMaker and Ghost pick G2 Esports as the team they want to meet at Worlds 2020

DAMWON Gaming is leaving for Shanghai, China to participate in the 2020 League of Legends World Championship. Due to the COVID-19 situation in Korea, we weren’t able to catch up with the players at the airport, but we were able to hear about their resolutions online.

To Heo “ShowMaker” Su, it was the second World Championship and the first for Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun. About going to the stage of his dreams, Ghost said, “I’m more than happy to have reached the first seed by winning the summer championship with wonderful teammates. Although it’s my first time, I’m confident”. ShowMaker said, “I have more expectations than nervousness now. I really want to have good results”.

On the team they’d like to meet, they both picked G2 Esports. ShowMaker faced G2 Esports last year at the quarterfinals and had lost. He said that he wanted to have revenge for that match. Ghost explained his reason saying, “I’ve seen G2 Esports beat Korean teams several times, so I want to win”.

DAMWON Gaming top laner Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon will be joining the team a week late due to pneumothorax surgery. ShowMaker said, “I think fans would have been surprised that Nuguri suddenly had surgery. As much as he had surgery, the rest of the players will work harder so that it wouldn’t affect our performance”.
