Fiddlesticks has been long overdue for a rework, and the first sights of the Harbinger of Doom's new look are some of the freakiest work the Riot Games design team has done yet. A video from the SkinSpotlights twitter account previewed Fiddlesticks' new walking animation, and it is uncut nightmare fuel.

Gone is the wood-legged hobble of the Fiddlesticks of old. In its place? Sheer terror. Fiddlesticks walk is somewhere between an undulating, trundling abomination and the gait of a marionette who gained sentience and escaped its puppeteer.

Fiddlesticks, alongside Volibear, was one of two champions being looked at for an upcoming rework by the Riot Games developers after being decided by a fan vote. Both champions have fallen out of favor as the game has continued to evolve throughout the years, and while Volibear has recently made an appearance as a Support pick in South Korea's professional league, League of Legends Champions Korea, Fiddlesticks has seen little to no play at any competitive level for years.

The visual update isn't all the only new thing about Fiddlesticks. His ultimate, Crowstorm, will remain intact in its current state, but the rest of the scarecrow's kit will be adjusted to put him in a much healthier game state for the foreseeable future.

UPDATE 3/13: Riot Games uploaded a short cinematic called 'Terror in Demacia' in a style similar to its short cinematic for Warwick's rework. The first-person view of the trailer allows players to truly understand the fear of seeing Fiddlesticks, in all his unholy glory, for the first time...and the last.
