DRX Pyosik: "I personally feel that Tarzan is the best jungler in the world, so I really want to beat him."

On the 28th (KST), DragonX and APK Prince faced off in the 2020 LCK Spring Split. With a set score of 2-0, DRX took down APK. Although the LCK was held without any spectators and Press due to the Corona19 epidemic, DragonX’s performance seemed unaffected and looked stronger than ever.

Due to the Press Room also being closed, DRX’s PR manager, Won Jong-bae, interviewed their own players and published it on their Facebook. The following is the interview with Ryu “Keria” Min-seok and Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon conducted by the team.

It’s been awhile since you won a match. How do you feel?

Keria: I’m glad that we broke our losing streak, and I want to ride this momentum to be on a win streak again.

Pyosik: Are we thinking the same thing?

How does it feel to do an interview with someone you see every day?

Pyosik: It’s comfortable. You’re going to write it well, right?

Keria: I think I can speak comfortably as well.

How do you rate the gold sharing Senna-Tahm Kench duo in the current meta?

Keria: I think it’s good, but I don’t know how good it is. We haven’t practiced it once, but we played it because it looked good, and I’m glad we won.

Your use of Teleport and Abyssal Voyage was on point.

Keria: I’m good at champions like Tahm Kench and Braum, but I don’t usually play them because they're no fun. I’m confident that I can carry whenever I play them.

Even though you’re a rookie, your in-game calls are very accurate. Would you say you’re naturally talented at looking at the game as a whole?

Keria: I learned from watching Mata and CoreJJ’s gameplay, and am continuing to learn from them.

Was Pyosik’s Trundle in Game 1 a pick that was pre-meditated?

Pyosik: Although I haven’t played a single game with Trundle in solo queue, I always practiced it to counter Olaf, and tonight seemed like the appropriate time to play him.

You’re 2-0 on Kindred. Is Kindred a viable pick in the current meta? Or is it good against Rek’sai?

Pyosik: Although Kindred relies on having the right team composition to function well, it’s not bad. If your team has lane priority and is against immobile junglers, it’s a good pick.

Can you explain why you died at Red buff alone in Game 2?

Pyosik: I got too excited. I got too excited and derped, so I need to make sure to remember to keep calm.

You’re both players known for mechanics. Who’s the better mechanical player?

Keria: If I played carries, I would be better, but since I’m a support player, my mechanics have dulled, so I think Pyosik’s better.

Pyosik: Keria’s much better than me.

Among the casters and the analysts, there are a lot of ‘Keria moms (a nickname for Keria fans)’. I’m also a ‘Keria mom’, so can you say something to your fans?

Keria: It definitely feels good, and I’ll work hard to gain more ‘Keria moms’. The Coronavirus epidemic is becoming more serious by the day, so please stay safe.

Your next match up is against Griffin.

Keria: No matter who our opponent is next, we’ll make sure to keep the same mindset, give it our all and win.

Pyosik: I personally feel that Tarzan is the best jungler in the world, so I really want to beat him.
