On the 27th (KST), Griffin announced that their trainee top laner, Yoon “Hoya” Yong-ho, has officially been moved up to the main roster, starting in the second round of the 2020 LCK Spring. Griffin now has three top laners as Hoya will be joining fellow top laners alongside Choi “Sword” Sung-won and Park “Untara” Ui-jin.

The head coach for Griffin, Han “H Dragon” Sang-yong, commented, “In order to make sure that we will be able to put on a better performance, we hope for Hoya to quickly build synergy and teamwork with the main roster. Please welcome Hoya to the team, and continue to cheer for Griffin.”

Griffin, unlike their previous seasons in the LCK, are struggling this Spring. With their recent 0-2 loss to T1, they are now tied for seventh place with KT Rolster. Many fans will be curious to see how the addition of Hoya will help Griffin perform like they did in their glory days of the past.
