'OPUS= Prism Peak,' a photo adventure game co-developed by SHUEISHA GAMES and SIGONO, was released on April 16 for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
'OPUS= Prism Peak' follows the story of Eugene, who accidentally falls into a mysterious world called the 'Land of Bow.' Together with Ren, a girl who has lost her memories, he sets out to find a way back to reality. Eugene, who has a diverse background including experience as a cameraman and a cafe owner, navigates his journey by solving hidden puzzles through his camera viewfinder. Ren, driven only by the desire to return to her home on the mountain, accompanies Eugene toward the summit.
The core mechanic of the game is photography. Players progress by capturing beautiful landscapes and animal-like spirits with their camera; when a spirit is photographed, their memories are revived. The spirits living in the Land of Bow are slowly losing their memories and fading away, becoming transparent, so interacting with them serves as a clue for Eugene's return. Furthermore, the photos taken and information gathered through interactions are recorded in an old notebook, which helps reveal the truth behind the world.
Meanwhile, 'God's Hearths' are scattered throughout the Land of Bow. Players can talk to spirits or solve trials at these locations to obtain items necessary for their journey. By offering seeds collected during the adventure, players can acquire additional items such as camera tools and special filters. Fulfilling the individual wishes of the spirits at the God's Hearths also helps unravel the mysteries surrounding Eugene and the spirits, while deciphering the mythical scripts carved across the land provides clues that bring players closer to the truth of the world.
The game features a star-studded voice cast, including Shin-ichiro Miki as Eugene and Kana Ichinose as Ren. Other notable voice actors, such as Mitsuru Miyamoto, Saori Onishi, Nobuyuki Hiyama, and Saori Goto, bring the spirit characters to life. Each spirit has a distinct personality—some are righteous, others dislike fighting, and some are bold and loyal—and they drive the game forward by revealing their unique traits through a variety of stories.
'OPUS= Prism Peak' officially supports Korean, along with Japanese, English, Chinese (Traditional/Simplified), French, German, and Spanish. A launch promotional video and comments from the voice actors are available on the official website.
Additionally, a launch sale is currently underway until April 30.
