Netmarble Updates MONGIL: STAR DIVE Website With New Character Details, Expanded Language Support Ahead of Global Launch

Netmarble has rolled out a major update to the official website for MONGIL: STAR DIVE, the company announced Tuesday, expanding character details, story information and language support as the game approaches launch.

The redesigned site is intended to strengthen the brand presence of MONGIL: STAR DIVE, an upcoming monster-taming action RPG and sequel to the 2013 mobile title Monster Taming. According to Netmarble, the update places a heavier emphasis on introducing the game’s world and cast while making information more accessible to players worldwide.

MONGIL: STAR DIVE is being developed using Unreal Engine 5 and features cinematic storytelling paired with real-time action combat. Gameplay centers on a three-character tag system, allowing players to switch between characters during combat. The game also retains the franchise’s signature “Monsterling Collection” mechanic, which lets players capture, collect and synthesize monsters that act as companions and tactical assets.

Netmarble is targeting a global release on PC and mobile platforms in the first half of this year. Global pre-registration is currently open.

Expanded Characters, Story and Global Reach

A key focus of the website update is deeper character and narrative presentation. New profile pages have been added for Episode 1 characters Cloud, Verna, Mina, Ophelia and Francis. Each profile includes 2D character art, in-game 3D models and voice performances in both English and Japanese. Netmarble said additional characters from other regions, including Varein, Serenia and Muwon, will be introduced through future updates to the site.

The update also significantly expands language support. Previously limited to Korean, English and Japanese, the official website now supports 12 languages. Newly added options include French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai and Indonesian. Netmarble said the expansion is aimed at improving accessibility for players across different regions and strengthening communication with a global audience.

Over the past year, MONGIL: STAR DIVE has been showcased at several international gaming events, including Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show and Brazil Game Show. Netmarble said the updated website is intended to serve as a central hub for ongoing information as the game moves closer to release.

“Our goal with this official website update is to help players easily and intuitively explore characters, story, and unique features of MONGIL: STAR DIVE,” said Da-haeng Lee, game publishing director at Netmarble.
