Battlestate Games has rolled out a major update for Escape from Tarkov: Arena, introducing Battle Pass Season 1 alongside Patch 0.4.0.0 on October 22. The new season marks the first full progression system for the standalone shooter, expanding its content lineup and offering players a mix of free and earnable rewards.

The Season 1 Battle Pass includes more than 70 unlockable items, all available without additional purchase. Among the highlights are the Radian Model 1 FA 5.56x45 assault rifle and Peltor TEP-300 active earplugs, both exclusive to the season. Players can earn Battle Points through regular gameplay to move through the reward tiers, giving both casual and competitive players incentives to stay active.

Battle Pass Season 1 Launches in EFT: Arena with Free Rewards and New Customs Tactical Map

A major addition in the latest patch is the Customs Tactical Map, a reimagined version of one of Escape from Tarkov’s most recognizable environments. The arena version includes more than 30 points of interest designed for competitive play, offering varied sightlines and cover for different combat styles. Unique event-based rewards are also available, including a new voiceover for the in-game announcer performed by Battlestate Games head Nikita Buyanov.

Battlestate has published detailed patch notes on the official EFT: Arena website, outlining balance changes and technical improvements alongside the new content.

The studio is also hosting a Free Weekend from October 24 to 27, giving all players full access to the new Battle Pass and the updated map. During the event, EFT: Arena and the PVE ZONE + Arena bundle will both be discounted by 15% on the official store and the Epic Games Store.

Adding to the weekend’s events, Team Liquid will participate in exhibition matches against teams of popular streamers from North America and Brazil, scheduled for October 25 and 26. Both matches will be streamed live with Twitch Drops enabled, granting viewers exclusive in-game items.
