SEGA Publishing Korea announced that the new action RPG 'Stupid Never Dies,' developed by GPTRACK50, will officially launch on October 22 for PS5 and PC (Steam).
'Stupid Never Dies' is the latest title from GPTRACK50, a studio formed by veteran developers who worked on the 'Devil May Cry' and 'Dragon's Dogma' series. It is an action RPG about a weak zombie who grows rapidly; the story follows the protagonist, a zombie named Davey, as he ventures into dangerous otherworldly dungeons to revive his deceased heroine, Julia. Key gameplay mechanics include 'Body Hacking,' which allows players to graft equipment onto their body, and the 'Style Eat' system, which lets players steal abilities from enemies.
Alongside the release date announcement, a new trailer featuring the key character 'Phoenix Zaza Hotfeather' was released. Additionally, a digital deluxe edition titled 'Stupid Never Dies: Glorious Idiot Edition' has been confirmed. This edition includes the base game along with five 'TikTok Teddy Bear' DLCs that allow players to customize appearances, visual effects, and BGM.
Two songs from the game's soundtrack will be released sequentially on major music platforms worldwide starting August 4, ahead of the official game launch. Music videos for the opening theme, 'Stupid Never Dies,' and the ending theme, 'Restless, Reckless, Never Die, Fearless,' are currently available.
'Stupid Never Dies' is priced at ₩5480 for the Standard Edition and ₩69800 for the 'Glorious Idiot Edition.' The physical package version will be available exclusively for the PS5 platform.
