Devsisters launched its new idle RPG, Cookie Run: Idle - Cookie Run: Crumble (hereinafter Cookie Run: Crumble), on the 30th. The game combines the convenience of the idle genre with the fun of collecting and combining Cookies and Pets.
In Cookie Run: Crumble, players can encounter the 'crunchy' Cookies that define the series, including familiar faces, special 'Alternative' Cookies, and original Pets. The game brings its own unique charm to life through the adorable movements of the Cookies and humor-filled dialogue.
The game features a lighter, more whimsical world than previous entries. It follows the story of the 'Crumble Mercenaries'—a group whose name is as trivial as it is cute—as they deal with 'Crumble Monsters.' Players can explore this charming world through cutscenes and dialogue.
Full of Cute Cookies

Cookie Run: Crumble includes most of the standard features found in modern idle games, making it easy for anyone to pick up and play. Content includes the main battle mode, where idle rewards increase as you clear stages, as well as the Arena, the endless 'Implant Tower,' daily dungeons, and the Crumble Dungeon.
All of this content can be enjoyed simply by watching, with minimal manual input required. Players only need to handle tasks like leveling up Cookies, forming parties, swapping equipment, and claiming mission rewards.
The number of Cookies you can deploy increases as you clear stages, allowing up to 12 Cookies to participate in battle at once. Watching the party members use their skills and charge at monsters—who are just as cute as they are—is delightful enough to bring a smile to your face.

The cute Cookies and Pets are rendered in a style unique to Cookie Run: Crumble. At launch, there are 69 Cookies and 54 Pets available. This includes favorites from the existing series, four original Pets, and the new Alternative Cookies.
Alternative Cookies are versions of existing characters who have crossed through a dimensional gate to appear in a new form. At launch, the TSSR-grade 'Oven Wanderer Cookie'—a new take on Brave Cookie—makes its debut. This character returned changed after wandering the 'Oven Labyrinth' within the rifts of dimensions.
Future updates will introduce Alternative versions of Brave Cookie's friends, such as Bright Seeker Cookie (Bright Cookie) and Ready-Berry Cookie (Strawberry Cookie). These Cookies and Pets can be obtained through gacha, with Alternative Cookies featured in separate 'pick-up' banners that use special resources.
The Cookies and Pets you collect offer more than just cuteness. You can upgrade your collection stats based on their relationships; since the collection fills up automatically upon acquisition, there is little for the player to worry about. The collection also allows fans to read about the relationships between Cookies and Pets, adding another layer of enjoyment.

Forming Parties Using Cookie and Pet Synergy

The biggest difference between Cookie Run: Crumble and other idle games is the need to form parties based on the synergies between Cookies and Pets.
Each Cookie possesses unique synergies in addition to their skills. These synergies have different effects, with specific Cookies acting as 'givers' and others as 'receivers.' It is important to check these synergies carefully when building a party rather than simply picking the Cookies with the highest combat power.
Players can customize their combinations, such as pairing core Cookies with those that provide specific synergies, or linking all Cookies together for a chain of effects. Pets also possess synergy effects, which can be leveraged to create a party where synergies truly explode.
Synergy effects can be checked by tapping on individual Cookies or by clicking the synergy icon on the party formation screen. When a party is built correctly, the Cookies will seamlessly trigger synergy effects with one another.

Various Content for Growth

The game offers a wide range of content, which unlocks sequentially as you clear stages. The system is broadly divided into battle content and growth content, which are naturally interconnected.
Battle content includes the main stages, the Arena, the Infinite Tower, daily dungeons for growth resources, and the Crumble Dungeon. In the Arena, players can set up defense and attack decks to compete against others and earn resources to strengthen their decks.
The Implant Tower is an endless tower-style mode where you climb floors and engage in combat. Some stages feature special gimmicks, requiring players to form specific parties to clear them.
Daily dungeons provide various in-game resources for growth, such as EXP, coins, and research stones, which are used to strengthen Cookies, Pets, and equipment. In the Crumble Dungeon, all your owned Cookies challenge the boss monster 'Golden God-Drop,' and players compete based on the scores they record.
Growth content includes familiar elements for any idle game fan. There are various ways to grow your Cookies and decks, and since you can reset a Cookie's level at any time, you can experiment with different characters without any burden.

Cookie Run: Crumble perfectly captures the lighthearted nature of the Cookie Run series, which fits the idle genre well. The game is designed to be played without pressure, featuring humorous dialogue, cutscenes, and stories that are presented in a simple, accessible way.
The story centers on the Crumble Mercenaries—led by Dark Choco Cookie, Yogurt Berry Cookie, and Grape Vine Cookie—as they solve various requests across the kingdom. With its modest requests, quirky incidents, and charming characters, the game offers a fun and lighthearted experience.
Cookie Run: Idle - Cookie Run: Crumble, a lighthearted idle game full of cute Cookies and humor, launches on Android and iOS on July 30.
