On Wednesday, July 22, a new high-level hunting ground, the Forgotten Island, was added to Lineage Classic. As a top-tier area accessible from Heine, the entry requirements have been slightly relaxed compared to the original Lineage, but it still retains its high difficulty and various restrictive conditions.
First, you must be at least level 40 to enter the Forgotten Island. When the island was first introduced in the past, the entry requirement was level 45; however, given its earlier release in Lineage Classic, the requirements have been adjusted to match the current player progression.
Once you meet the requirements, head to the Heine wharf to purchase a 'Forgotten Island Boat Ticket' and board the ship. The wharf is located at the 7 o'clock position of Heine Castle. Since there is no teleporter nearby, you must run there from the village. Fortunately, you can save the location to your memory list, so it is recommended to do so if you plan on visiting frequently. The boat departs every 5 minutes; simply board with a ticket and wait to be transported to the island.

The Forgotten Island features a mix of monsters from the Aden continent and unique island-exclusive creatures. Restrictions remain: the entire area is a combat zone, meaning PVP is possible. While there is no penalty for dying in PVP, dying to monsters results in the standard EXP penalty. Additionally, you cannot use memory bookmarks, resurrection spells, normal spellbooks, or random teleportation inside.
However, the island's status is much weaker than in the past. The base hunting difficulty has been significantly lowered. Previously, level 45+ characters had to form parties, divide roles (tanking, healing, damage dealing), and carefully take down monsters one by one. In Lineage Classic, the difficulty is much more forgiving, making it a viable hunting ground for anyone with sufficient levels and equipment. Furthermore, the addition of island-exclusive return and teleport spellbooks has greatly improved the previous issues with movement and escape.
The island is horseshoe-shaped with a deep bay on the west side, and monster spawns vary by location. Minotaurs and Drakes appear in the northwest, Crocodiles and Lamias in the northeast, and Doppelgangers and Basilisks in the southeast.
At the tip of the island to the left of the Minotaur & Drake region, you will find the NPC merchant Tiron, where you can buy supplies or sell 'Forgotten Equipment' found while hunting. Note that supply prices are about twice as high as on the mainland, so it is best to prepare thoroughly before boarding the boat.

Key loot includes the Forgotten Equipment series, 'Ancient Spellbooks' used to upgrade them into Ancient Weapons, and new high-level magic-resistant armor like the Ring of Magic Resistance. Other items such as the Ring of Resistance, spellbooks, and Troll Belts also drop. Since the Ancient Spellbooks—the true treasures of the island—are dropped by Doppelgangers, Drakes, and Minotaurs, keep this in mind when choosing your hunting spot.
'Forgotten' equipment is of little use on its own and is essentially vendor trash. You must use an Ancient Spellbook to unseal it to reveal its true power. Except for the Ancient Crossbow, completed Ancient Weapons and Armor cannot be enchanted, but they possess exceptionally high base stats. The Ancient Crossbow can be enchanted, with a safe limit of +6, just like other weapons. These items also have a level requirement, meaning only players level 40 and above can equip them.
The stats for Ancient Equipment have been adjusted. The Ancient Greatsword's Hit bonus has been increased from +3 to +5, and the Ancient Sword's from +5 to +7. Conversely, armor has been nerfed overall: the Ancient Leather Armor's HP recovery was reduced to 3 (from 4) and MP recovery to 5 (from 8); the Ancient Robe's MP recovery was reduced to 8 (from 12); and the Ancient Scale Armor's HP recovery was reduced to 5 (from 8) and MP recovery to 3 (from 4).
