AI game creation platform Verse8 announced on the 13rd that a total of 693 games based on the MapleStory IP were created during the three-week 'MapleStory Vibe Camp,' co-hosted with NEXPACE, Nexon's blockchain subsidiary. During the camp, which ran from June 8 to June 29, independent builders developed games using official MapleStory assets within Verse8's AI-powered creative environment. Of the 693 entries, 435 are currently live.

During the game jam, builders integrated 341253 official MapleStory IP assets into their projects, with an average of 434 assets used per project. The company stated that this demonstrates the creative speed individual builders can achieve when Verse8's AI technology is combined with vast IP assets. The resulting games spanned a wide range of genres, including real-time strategy, trading card games, idle RPGs, tycoon simulations, and visual novels.

The games completed during the jam recorded 88037 plays across 114 countries, with 29015 unique users participating. Top-performing titles saw return rates between 35% and 70%. Most of this traffic was generated through the builders' own voluntary promotion within their communities. This is seen as proof that when a proven IP community meets AI creation tools, individual builders can secure meaningful user engagement and retention. Creation has continued even after the game jam ended on June 29; as of early July, 1250 builders remain active in 'MSU Space,' with 2998 cumulative projects underway. Since the start of the camp, over 213k build commands have been sent to the AI. The final winner of the camp, which featured a total prize pool of $60,000, will be announced on the 22nd following a community vote.

Kevin Lee, CEO of Verse8, said, "During this event, an average of 33 games using the MapleStory IP were created every day. This achievement proves that Verse8's AI creation platform can serve as a foundation for an IP to expand into hundreds of games." He added, "We will continue to provide publishing and follow-up support to help these games establish themselves as live services, and we will empower more creators to build games using the IPs they love."
