On June 19, SNK released a trailer for 'Kenshiro,' a collaboration character joining the fighting game 'FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves.' The trailer was released in both Japanese and English voiceover versions, and Kenshiro's individual story will be added to both 'EOST Mode' and 'Arcade Mode.'

Kenshiro joins the roster through a collaboration with the anime 'Fist of the North Star' and serves as the final DLC character for Season Pass 2. This collaboration was first announced at 'AnimeJapan 2026' this past March. A specific release date for Kenshiro will be announced at a later time.

In the game, Kenshiro appears as a fighter who utilizes the ultimate assassination art, 'Hokuto Shinken.' His playstyle focuses on fast, heavy strikes that target an opponent's pressure points to inflict status changes, which can then be linked into combos; victory depends on precise distance management and split-second decision-making. Shunsuke Takeuchi provides the Japanese voice, while Klaytn Alexander provides the English voice.

In terms of story, different narratives are prepared for each mode. In the RPG mode 'EOST Mode,' Kenshiro wakes up in South Town, meets Terry and Mai, and investigates the source of an ominous presence looming over the city. In 'Arcade Mode,' set in a South Town ruled by Krauser, Kenshiro joins forces with Terry, Hokutomaru, and Hotaru to enter the newly opened KOF tournament and confront Krauser.

'Fist of the North Star' is a manga written by Buronson and illustrated by Tetsuo Hara, which began serialization in 'Weekly Shonen Jump' in 1983. Set in a post-nuclear war wasteland, it follows the battles of Kenshiro, the successor to the Hokuto Shinken style. The anime 'Fist of the North Star' is currently airing on Tokyo MX and BS11, and is streaming exclusively worldwide via Prime Video.

Meanwhile, SNK will host a hands-on preview event for Kenshiro at its booth during EVO 2026, the fighting game tournament held in Las Vegas from June 26 to 28 (local time). A game discount event will also be held concurrently.
