From 'Gnome Gang,' which captures the thrill of robbing empty houses as a tiny gnome, to 'Unrailed 2: Back on Track,' which elevates its predecessor's reputation with new competitive content, and 'Frog Squad,' a unique slapstick action game from the core developers of Fall Guys—several comedy co-op/competitive games have launched recently. Yet, the one that has generated the most buzz is 'Mecha Chameleon,' which received little attention before its release.
Released on the 10th, Mecha Chameleon is a game of hide-and-seek. However, unlike other games where characters transform into objects, here you must paint your pure white body to blend into the background. The core fun lies in the camouflage process: using RGB sliders, eyedroppers, and other color settings to match your body to the floor or walls, and even adjusting your posture to hide perfectly.
True to its streamer-friendly design, the game hit a peak of 127k concurrent viewers on Twitch on its launch day, and by the 14th, it had surpassed 1 million copies sold. It also topped the sales charts in Korea and reached No. 2 globally, a testament to the impact of major streamers rushing to play it. It is a rare case of a casual game from a Japanese solo developer reaching the very top of Steam's sales charts.
The developers are continuously releasing patches to address player feedback, including adding new maps and adjusting terrain to prevent players from getting stuck in walls.

■ Issue | Taskbar Hero Surpasses 500k Concurrent Players

Despite various controversies since its launch, 'TBH: Taskbar Hero' saw its concurrent player count steadily climb, crossing the 500k mark for the first time last weekend. That momentum continued through the 15th, with daily peak concurrent players hitting 526k. Notably, while most games see their numbers fluctuate based on time zones, Taskbar Hero maintains a steady user base throughout the day, characteristic of an idle game that runs while the computer is on. In fact, during daytime hours in Korea, it consistently holds the No. 2 spot for concurrent players on Steam, right behind Counter-Strike 2.
