Early access to the campaign for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 has been officially confirmed.
On the 13rd, Activision announced via the official Call of Duty blog that those who pre-order Modern Warfare 4 will be able to play the campaign starting October 16. This marks the return of campaign early access for the first time in two years since Black Ops 6, suggesting that Activision is highly confident in the quality of the Modern Warfare 4 campaign.
Activision previously offered campaign early access for Modern Warfare 3 (2023), but the feature was omitted from the following two titles after the campaign received harsh criticism for its quality, leading to a wave of user refunds.
The campaign for Modern Warfare 4, which has now been confirmed for early access, is drawing significant attention in Korea for being set in a South Korea where the Second Korean War has broken out. Players will immerse themselves in cinematic combat as they alternate between Private Park Hyun-jun, who must defend his crisis-stricken homeland against the North Korean invasion, and Captain Price, who has turned into a rogue agent.
Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will launch worldwide on October 23 and will be available on platforms including Xbox, PC (Steam and Battle.net), PS5, and Switch 2.
