A video documenting the recording process for the main theme of Pokémon Wind & Wave, scheduled for release in 2027, has been unveiled.
The Pokémon Company has released a making-of video for the main theme of Pokémon Wind & Wave across various channels. The video features the NHK Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Daisuke Nagamine, performing the opening of a new Pokémon adventure set in the heart of nature.
The video intercuts footage of the orchestra's performance with scenes from previously released trailers. Notably, the main theme, which was heard as background music in the initial reveal trailer, is performed in its entirety, offering a unique treat for fans awaiting the game's release.
Pokémon Wind & Wave, the latest entry in the Pokémon game series, was first announced during the Pokémon Presents event this past February. Set in an open world featuring beautiful islands and vast seas, the game promises a unique ecosystem where massive natural landscapes and Pokémon come to life.
The new title will introduce three new starter Pokémon—Choropi, Pomungi, and Michori—alongside special Pikachu variants, Windchu and Wavechu.
Meanwhile, no additional information was revealed in this making-of video. Pokémon Wind & Wave is slated for release on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027.
