The '2026 FC Online Team Battle' Spring Grand Finals took place at the Jamsil DN Coliseum on the 19th. In a rematch of the winner's bracket third round, Gen.G City defeated T1 4-2. 'Wonder08,' who stepped up for the final sixth set, proved his status as the undisputed ace by scoring a spectacular back-heel buzzer-beater.
The first set, featuring Gen.G City's 'Crong' Hwang Se-jong and T1's 'Opel' Kang Jun-ho, was a massive nail-biter. The two traded goals to reach a 3-3 draw, sending the match into overtime. The overtime period was equally intense; after 'Crong' broke through the right flank to score, 'Opel' immediately equalized with a sharp shot from Ronaldo. In the ensuing penalty shootout, 'Opel' gained the upper hand with two consecutive saves at the start and converted his fifth shot to secure the first set.
The second runners for each team were Gen.G City's 'GPJ' Jifri Baykadem and T1's 'Navy' Kim Yu-min. In the 11th minute, 'Navy' scored the opening goal, completely bypassing 'GPJ's' defense with fluid dribbling using Ronaldo. After taking the lead, 'Navy' played solid defense, and 'GPJ' struggled to break through. 'Navy' ultimately took the set, bringing the score to 2-0.
The third set was a showdown between Gen.G City's 'Solid' Im Tae-san and T1's 'Hoseok' Choi Ho-seok. 'Hoseok' drew first blood, with his goalkeeper unable to even move as Cristiano Ronaldo fired a thunderbolt following a left-flank breakthrough by Ronaldo. However, the momentum shifted when 'Solid' saved a penalty kick. Capitalizing on a corner kick to equalize, 'Solid' then scored a comeback goal in overtime, securing a crucial first win for Gen.G City.
In the fourth set, Gen.G City's 'Wonder08' Go Won-jae met T1's 'Byeol' Park Ki-hong. 'Wonder08' persistently targeted 'Byeol's' goal, but tight defense prevented any scores. 'Byeol' also failed to capitalize on his attacking chances, sending the match to overtime. 'Wonder08' finally broke the silence, scoring an opener in the first half of overtime and adding a clincher in the final moments of the second half to tie the set score at 2-2.
For the fifth set, Gen.G City fielded 'Crong' and T1 fielded 'Navy.' 'Crong' scored the opener; Ronaldo skillfully bypassed the defense to send in a cross, which Julian Alvarez headed home. After taking the lead, 'Crong' scored a second goal in the final moments of the second half to seal the victory, putting Gen.G City ahead 3-2.
With a match point on the line, Gencity brought in 'Wonder08' as their closer, while T1 countered by sending in 'Hoseok' to put out the fire. It was a nail-biter until the very end. 'Wonder08' found the back of the net against 'Hoseok' in just three minutes and then scored a second goal with a sharp right-footed strike from Kylian Mbappé. 'Hoseok' managed to claw back one goal in each half, however, bringing the match to a draw.
'Wonder08' immediately reclaimed the lead with an additional goal, but 'Hoseok' scored yet another equalizer in the final moments of the second half. However, in the final attacking turn past stoppage time, 'Wonder08' hit a miraculous back-heel shot from Ronaldo to beat the buzzer, securing the final championship for Gen.G City.
