XD Entertainment (XD) announced on the 17th the official launch of SS12 'Lunaria,' the new season for its self-developed cross-platform hack-and-slash action RPG, 'Torchlight: Infinite.'

The core of the SS12 'Lunaria' season is new content centered around 'Luna Statues.' Players can activate these statues in the Netherrealm, defeat Luna monsters to earn loot and 'Performance Energy,' and utilize 'Luna Rings' to activate multiple statues simultaneously, which increases the reward multiplier.

Additionally, random event systems such as 'Omen of Luna' and 'Rhapsody' have been introduced, adding depth to the gameplay experience through variables like golden statues, special monsters, and changing combat rules. The 'Luna Strings' system also allows players to customize their playstyle, including features like auto-performance and statue management.

In terms of hero progression, a new trait for 'Sage' called 'Licorice Note' has been added. This trait features a combat mechanism utilizing 'Elixir Bottles,' allowing for diverse build configurations through material combinations that provide damage reduction, attribute changes, and additional attack effects. Players can choose between the 'Scholar' path, which enhances HP/MP-based efficiency, or the 'Scientist' path, which focuses on true damage.

This season, elixirs have been expanded into an independent skill system, with new utility skills such as 'Potions,' 'Dew,' and 'Essence' added. Furthermore, a 'Resurrection' element has been introduced to the Hero Memory system, adding stat enhancements and new trait options, enabling build expansion through up to 36 exclusive options.

Other new systems include a 'modular' summoning system using Netherrealm bosses and 'Creation Device' content. Overall gameplay environment improvements have also been implemented, including balance adjustments for existing content, changes to equipment breakage rates, and improvements to drop structures.

Additionally, the UI 2.0 update has improved the readability and visuals of key screens, while convenience features such as enhanced marketplace search, a quick-purchase system, and account security functions have been significantly bolstered.

To celebrate the SS12 launch, a 3rd-anniversary event is also underway. Players can receive a 'Legendary Drop Spirit Selection Box' by logging in for seven days, along with various rewards including 30 free pulls and limited-edition weapon skins. Other events include a reset of the first-time purchase bonus and a physical merchandise giveaway.
