The 2026 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular season enters its second week with a headline clash between T1 and Gen.G, as both teams look to recover momentum after mixed starts. According to a release, Week 2 of the LCK will take place from April 8th to April 12th at LoL Park in Seoul, South Korea, featuring key matchups that could shape the early standings.

T1 and Gen.G set for first 2026 meeting

T1 and Gen.G will face off on the opening day of Week 2 in what is expected to be one of the most closely watched matches of the split. Both teams ended Week 1 with identical 1-1 records, having each suffered defeats to KT Rolster before securing 2-0 victories in their second matches.

The fixture marks the first meeting between the two organisations in 2026. Their most recent encounter took place during the 2025 LCK Playoffs, where Gen.G narrowly defeated T1 3-2.

The matchup also sees two reigning champions collide. T1 entered the season as the 2025 League of Legends World Championship winner, whilst Gen.G secured both the 2025 LCK title and the 2026 LCK Cup. As a result, the outcome is expected to influence the early race for the top of the standings.

KT Rolster and Nongshim RedForce battle unbeaten records

Elsewhere, KT Rolster and Nongshim RedForce will meet on April 9th, with both teams aiming to extend their undefeated starts. Nongshim impressed during Week 1 with back-to-back 2-0 victories, while KT Rolster emerged as an early standout after defeating both T1 and Gen.G.

According to the release, the matchup will highlight a mix of veteran experience and emerging talent. Nongshim’s support Son ‘Lehends’ Si-woo and KT Rolster’s mid-laner Kwak ‘Bdd’ Bo-seong — both long-standing LCK players — are expected to play key roles alongside newer core players such as Bae ‘Sponge’ Young-jun and Lee ‘Perfect’ Seung-min.

Dplus KIA look to end Gen.G losing streak

Another notable fixture will see Dplus KIA take on Gen.G on April 11th. The organisation currently holds a 21-match losing streak against Gen.G, with its latest defeat occurring during the 2026 LCK Cup playoffs.

The match, described as a ‘Northern Expedition’ challenge, represents a significant test for Dplus KIA’s ambitions of climbing the standings. Despite the historical head-to-head record, the team enters the match following a 2-0 win over DRX in Week 1.

Broadcast and format details

The 2026 LCK regular season will feature two matches per day from Wednesday to Sunday. Matches will be broadcast live via online streaming platforms, with tickets for in-person attendance made available nine days in advance.

The LCK remains one of the most successful regional leagues in League of Legends esports, having produced multiple World Championship-winning teams and consistently attracting a global audience. With several high-stakes fixtures scheduled, Week 2 is set to provide an early indication of which teams will emerge as title contenders in the 2026 season.
