NightByte Games’ first-person horror roguelite It Has My Face has exited Early Access on Steam, with Version 1.0 launching alongside expanded multiplayer features and a crossover promotion with Dead by Daylight.

According to a release, the game retained its Early Access price of $9.99 (~£7.85), with Version 1.0 launching with a 20% discount. Behaviour Interactive, the publisher behind Dead by Daylight, also partnered on the launch campaign.

Set in a dystopian world built around paranoia and mistaken identity, It Has My Face tasked players with hunting down their own clone before being killed themselves. Each run changed the player’s face, body and gameplay modifiers, creating a roguelite structure centred around deception and quick decision-making.

According to the release, Version 1.0 completed the game’s story through two final chapters, introducing new monsters, mutators and environments. The update also added a final encounter intended to reveal more about the player character’s existence and the wider world of the game.

Multiplayer, which had previously appeared in a one-versus-one format, also returned in an expanded form. Version 1.0 introduced support for up to eight players across Team Deathmatch and Free for All modes. In those matches, all players shared the same face, meaning identifying opponents relied on behaviour and instinct rather than appearance.

Behaviour also offered Dead by Daylight players two exclusive in-game banners through the game’s inbox for one month from April 3rd. To mark the full launch, It Has My Face was also included in a bundle with Dead by Daylight, with both titles receiving a 10% discount as part of the promotion.

The release marked a milestone for NightByte Games, a two-person studio founded by brothers Salih and Furkan. According to the release, the pair had previously launched more than 40 games across multiple genres and had been working on It Has My Face since 2022. The studio is also known for Samurai Survivors, a bullet heaven title.

For Behaviour Interactive, the launch added another publishing project to a portfolio led by Dead by Daylight. Founded in 1992, the Canadian game developer said its flagship horror title has reached nearly 70m players since launching in 2016.

It Has My Face is currently available on Steam.
