NEXUS and Playwith Korea have reported strong early results for MMORPG Seal M on CROSS following its global launch on March 19th, with the title reaching nearly 300,000 daily active users (DAU). According to a release, the surge in players prompted the companies to add six more servers in Asia shortly after launch.

The companies also said the game had built momentum before release. During pre-registration, Seal M on CROSS used ‘CROSS Play,’ a quest-based mini-app designed to drive user participation ahead of launch. According to the release, that campaign helped the title surpass 2.2m pre-registrations globally.

Post-launch, NEXUS and Playwith Korea said the game’s growth has also been supported by activity on ‘CROSS Wave,’ a streamer platform tied to the broader CROSS ecosystem. As of March 24th, nearly 200 streamers had joined the Seal M on CROSS campaign, according to the release. NEXUS said CROSS Wave uses an AI-based performance analysis system to distribute rewards based on contribution, with the aim of supporting both major creators and smaller streamers.

The companies also claimed the title had entered the top ten for revenue and popularity on Google Play and Apple’s App Store in key Southeast Asia (SEA) markets, including Thailand and Indonesia. However, no platform data or ranking figures were shared in the release. According to the release, SEA accounted for around 60% of the game’s total userbase, making it the title’s largest region following launch.

CROSS ecosystem supports launch strategy

The announcement also highlighted the role of the CROSS platform’s wider payments and distribution infrastructure.

According to the release, the ecosystem includes ‘CROSS Shop,’ a PC launcher and web store, alongside ‘CROSS Pay,’ a stablecoin-based payment system that the companies said offers 0% transaction fees. NEXUS claimed this setup improves convenience for players while reducing commission costs for developers.

Hak-jun Kim, CEO of Playwith Korea, said: “The intense interest shown by global users during the pre-registration stage is now being reflected in our actual performance metrics. “Both companies are closely monitoring user inflow trends to ensure an optimised playing environment and to provide a steady stream of rich content updates.”

Henry Chang, CEO of NEXUS, added: “The synergy between the long-standing fan base of the ‘Seal’ IP and the full-stack ecosystem of the CROSS platform has translated into tangible results, from pre-registration to post-launch performance. “Seal M on CROSS proves that our integrated structure — gathering users through CROSS Play, expanding content via CROSS Wave, and supporting transactions with CROSS Shop and CROSS Pay — significantly increases the potential for global success of well-made games.”
