Riot Games has launched its first PC café promotion of the year to coincide with the start of the 2026 Season 1 update for League of Legends, offering players a mix of in-game rewards, trial cosmetics and sweepstakes tied to competitive play.

The event is aimed at players who access League of Legends through participating PC cafés, a long-standing part of the game’s ecosystem in several regions. It runs through Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 11:59 p.m., giving players several weeks to log playtime and complete ranked matches to unlock benefits.

During the event period, players can earn tiered rewards based on the total number of hours spent playing at PC cafés. Riot Games says players who reach the highest threshold of 20 hours can receive up to 15 Hextech Chest and Key sets. In addition, eligible participants will be entered into prize drawings for tickets to major esports events scheduled for later this year, including the League of Legends World Championship Finals, the Mid-Season Invitational Finals and the League of Legends Champions Korea Finals.

A separate reward track is tied specifically to ranked-mode victories played in PC cafés. After each win, players can visit the official event website and claim a randomized reward. Possible items include Orange Essence, Mystery Emotes, Mystery Ward Skins, a Demacian Emblem or an Ancient Spark, reinforcing the season’s thematic focus.

Riot is also extending PC café-exclusive benefits beyond the main event window. As part of its January offerings, players will have temporary access to a curated selection of 15 skins associated with champions from the Demacia region. The trial period runs through Friday, Jan. 30, at 11 a.m., and includes notable cosmetics such as Mecha Kingdoms Garen, Immortal Journey Shyvana and Dragon Guardian Galio.

The PC café initiative follows Riot’s broader push to refresh League of Legends with new seasonal content while maintaining engagement across both casual and competitive audiences. More detailed information, including eligibility requirements and regional availability, is available on the official League of Legends website.

League of Legends originally launched in 2009 and remains one of the most-played PC games worldwide, with Riot Games continuing to support it alongside a growing portfolio of titles and multimedia projects.
