Nexon’s ARC Raiders Tops Steam Worldwide Sales and Player Charts at Launch

Nexon Co., Ltd. (co-CEOs Dae-Hyun Kang and Jung-uk Kim) announced on the 4th that “ARC Raiders,” a new PvPvE extraction-adventure game developed by its subsidiary Embark Studios (CEO Patrick Söderlund), has drawn worldwide attention and reached No. 1 on both Steam’s global sales and trending game charts.

Launched globally on October 30 across all platforms (Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S Store, and PlayStation® Store), “ARC Raiders” hit 354,836 peak concurrent users on Steam right after release, ranked No. 1 in both global revenue and most popular titles, and placed No. 4 among Steam’s most-played games. The game also secured the No. 1 spot on Steam’s sales ranking in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand, signaling standout performance across Asia.

On Steam, more than 43,000 user reviews have yielded an 89% positive rating, maintaining a “Very Positive” status, with praise for its high-end visuals, immersion, sound design, and overall polish. On Twitch, the game reached a peak of 372,816 concurrent viewers to take the No. 1 position across all categories, while YouTube peaked above 60,000 concurrent viewers during the same window—evidence of strong global interest and promising legs for sustained growth. In Korea, it drew over 20,000 viewers on each of the country’s two major streaming platforms, SOOP and CHZZK.

Alongside the launch, developer Embark Studios unveiled its 2025 roadmap. Upcoming updates include a new map, “Stella Montis,” two new ARC enemy types—“Matriarch” and “Shredder”—new environmental conditions like blizzards and wildfires, a “Raider Deck,” plus a sequence of updates rolling out with new quests, cosmetics, and quality-of-life improvements.
