Wemade Max Co., Ltd. (co-CEOs Son Myeonseok and Lee Gilhyung) announced on the 27th that the first official trailer for its new open-world action RPG, “Project TAL,” currently in development at its subsidiary studio MADNGINE, surpassed 1 million views on YouTube within three days of release.
The “Project TAL” trailer, which went live at 12:00 a.m. KST on the 24th, cleared the 1 million view mark in roughly three days. Notably, it exceeded 1 million views on the PlayStation channel alone—an exceptional response for a brand-new IP on the global stage. Including leading overseas channels and the game’s official channel, combined “likes” for “Project TAL” have topped 50,000, underscoring strong enthusiasm among gamers worldwide.
The trailer has also drawn a striking number of comments relative to total views, fueling active analysis and discussion around granular elements such as combat presentation, worldbuilding, and music direction. Viewers at home and abroad have reacted with remarks like, “It gives off a major blockbuster vibe,” “The game’s atmosphere and combat scenes are especially impressive,” “Even from the revealed footage alone, there’s more than enough reason to look forward to launch,” and “A highly anticipated title that pairs in-game quality with a distinctive aesthetic.”

“Our aim was to clearly capture both the direction we’re pursuing and the identity of the title in the video,” said Wemade Max CEO Son Myeonseok. “Starting with this trailer, we’ll keep delivering experiences that go beyond what players expect.”
“Project TAL” is a AAA, open-world, single-player action RPG that reimagines Korea’s traditional tal masks—as well as centuries-old myths and folktales—into a distinctive, modern setting. It brings together deep single-player immersion with strategic and tactical combat. The game is in development for PC and console platforms with a target launch in 2027, and the new trailer is available on the official “Project TAL” YouTube channel.
