Nexon Foundation (Chairperson: Jung-wook Kim) announced that, as part of its collaboration with the Purme Foundation on the independence-support project for young adults with developmental disabilities — the “Sharing Hearts, Growing Together” campaign — it will hold an offline event titled “Purme Romantic Pop-Up in Seongsu” from Saturday, November 8 to Sunday, November 9 on the first floor of HEYGROUND Seongsu Starting Point.

The “Purme Romantic Pop-Up in Seongsu” is designed to promote self-reliance among young adults with developmental disabilities and to raise public awareness through acts of sharing. Nexon Foundation and Mabinogi have chosen the theme “A Time for Us to Get Closer” so that more people can meet these young adults in person and hear their stories. Until now, the “Sharing Hearts, Growing Together” campaign’s offline events have mainly been held at Purme Social Farm in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, and Café Muisoop. This marks the program’s first showcase in Seoul.

At the venue, visitors can join a variety of hands-on activities designed to enjoy time together while changing perceptions of disability. The programs include a guided viewing of workplaces employing young adults with developmental disabilities, a “guess the weight” challenge using tomatoes and flour, and mini-games played with the participants. Guests who take part in these activities will also receive an opportunity to join Nexon Foundation’s “no-lose prize draw.”

A lineup of limited-edition collaboration merchandise created by Mabinogi and Purme Social Farm will also be available, including eco-friendly tumblers, BAGGU tote bags, bottle openers, keycap keyrings, and Life Four Cuts photo holders. Various F&B items will be on sale as well: cherry tomatoes grown by young adults with developmental disabilities; Mabinogi character cookie sets; Irusan Paw Madeleines; popular breads from Café Muisoop; and cherry-tomato juice. All proceeds will go directly toward supporting employment opportunities for young adults with developmental disabilities.

For those unable to attend in person, Nexon Foundation and Mabinogi will also open a special online store from Monday, November 3 through Sunday, November 16, allowing fans to purchase selected items and share in the event’s purpose remotely.

Min Kyung-hoon, Executive Director of Mabinogi, stated: “We hope this event will help young adults with developmental disabilities build vital social skills and a sense of self-efficacy by engaging directly with the public. We’re grateful that Mabinogi can contribute to such a meaningful initiative. Since this pop-up brings Yeoju’s Purme Social Farm and Café Muisoop to Seoul, we hope even more people will resonate with the youths’ stories and take part in the spirit of sharing.”

Now entering its fourth year, “Sharing Hearts, Growing Together” is Mabinogi’s flagship CSR initiative supporting young adults with developmental disabilities to work joyfully and independently in a stable environment. Nexon Foundation and Mabinogi have supplied essential materials for the operation of Purme Social Farm and Café Muisoop, organized the “Many Interest Booth” at the Mabinogi 20th Anniversary Fantasy Party in June 2024, and held a volunteer program titled “Let’s Go Together: Purme Healing Farm” this May. Through these efforts, they continue to champion independence and awareness for young adults with developmental disabilities.
