Riot Games today unveiled Teamfight Tactics: K.O. Coliseum, the 15th TFT set, ahead of its public test on July 15 and full rollout on July 30. The update transports players to Whisker’s signature anime-style fighting tournament, where magic-wielding champions and mechanized warriors clash in fast-paced auto-battles.

K.O. Coliseum debuts more than 30 new champions and reintroduces fan favorites such as Seraphine leading the Star Guardians, Kobuko as a Mentor, and heavy-hitting five-costs including Braum, Gwen, Twisted Fate, Varus, Yone and Zyra. Each unit embraces anime tropes, from Soul Fighters who stack power in combat to Star Guardians that grow stronger through teamwork.

The set adds a risk-reward Crystal Gambit origin, granting Gem Power on wins and losses, and a dynamic Power Ups mechanic that lets players boost individual champions via consumable Snax. Mighty Mechs strengthen with each deployment, Wraiths heal based on damage dealt, and Monster Trainers offer a choice of summoned pets—Kog’Maw, Rammus or Smolder—each with unique abilities.

Prismatic Traits return with mini-quests unlocked at peak trait breakpoints, rewarding players who master conditions like collecting all Mighty Mech augments or channeling massive mana as a Star Guardian. Battle Academia units evolve their skills, Luchadors cleanse and heal mid-fight, and Stance Masters such as Lee Sin can switch among Duelist, Executioner or Juggernaut stances.

Cosmetic updates include Chibi Spirit Blossom Lillia, Prestige Chibi Spirit Blossom Ahri, High Noon Thresh Unbound and The Veiled Village Arena, alongside six new anime-inspired portal skins. Players will retain access to personalized portals, booms and tacticians introduced in previous sets.

On the competitive front, July’s launch kicks off the TFT Pro Circuit in August, featuring 32 top players across four regions, with the first event on August 29. The annual TFT Open returns to Paris this fall with 768 competitors and expanded community features, including an Artist Alley, developer panels and a 4v4 consolation bracket. K.O. Coliseum’s blend of anime aesthetics, fresh mechanics and esports initiatives aims to reenergize both casual and competitive TFT audiences.
