Kabam is set to join Steam Next Fest 2025 with its flagship fighting game, Marvel Contest of Champions, offering fans a live demo and a chance to wishlist the title to unlock milestone rewards. Ahead of the showcase, the studio outlined a slate of in-game events and content updates slated for June and beyond.

Beginning June 4, players can collect “Research Grant” items across multiple modes to unlock a seven-star Mister Fantastic during the Fantastic FORCE Saga, part of a larger Fantastic Four tie-in leading up to the release of Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” A “Vaults of Variant” side quest running from June 11 through July 9 tasks Summoners with aiding Reed Richards as he navigates perilous multiverse experiments.

June also brings the introduction of Runaways members Nico Minoru and Karolina Dean in celebration of Pride Month. Nico Minoru becomes available on June 12, followed by Karolina Dean on June 26. A “Runway Ready” solo event active all month rewards players with Pride-themed profile icons and event milestones for victory points earned in standard modes.

The ongoing Eidol chase expands June 4 through October 8 with Solvarch, the latest original character in the “Founders” storyline, joining earlier arrivals Isophyne and LumatRix. Additional updates include a June 2 rework of Captain Britain, who returns as a seven-star Champion in a “Double Track Event” on June 4, and the “Hall of Irons” seven-day login calendar launching June 10 in celebration of the upcoming Ironheart series, which features in-game offers aligned with the show’s June 24 premiere.

Kabam will cap the month with a Heat Wave sale on June 27, spotlighting discounted resources and Champions, including a seven-star Human Torch. The developer plans to reveal further details during Steam Next Fest, where attendees can explore new features and earn early rewards for PC and mobile platforms.
