The PUBG Global Championship 2023 (PGC 2023) has ended with Danawa Esports emerging as the champions. PGC 2023 brought together 32 teams, comprising 128 players, who battled fiercely through regional leagues worldwide. The pinnacle international competition unfolded on November 18th in Bangkok, Thailand, featuring live matches for the audience. Over the course of 18 grand finals matches from December 1st to 3rd, Danawa Esports secured the championship with a total of 137 points, establishing themselves as the premier PUBG team on the global stage in 2023.

Danawa Esports underwent a significant transformation ahead of this year, adding seasoned veterans Na “Inonix” Hee-ju and Park “Loki” Jung-young to their roster, alongside the existing players Cho “Seoul” Gi-yeol and Woo “Salute” Jae-hyeon. Their strategic reshaping proved effective, culminating in victories at both the first and second halves of the PUBG Weekly Series. This momentum carried them to triumph at PGC 2023.

While Danawa Esports began the Grand Finals of PGC 2023 with a modest 11th place on the first day, they swiftly ascended to the top, accumulating a staggering 70 points in just one day on the second day. Their consistent combat strength and stable macro skills were evident throughout, showcasing remarkable resilience. Particularly memorable was their victory in the intense battlefield of Vikendi on the 16th match, where they engaged in a nail-biting showdown against China's Petrichor Road, securing the coveted Chicken Dinner. The final result of 137 points secured their undisputed victory.

Claiming the second spot was China's 17 Gaming, known for their formidable combat skills, which set the stage for an intense competition alongside Danawa Esports. However, they ultimately settled for second place with 133 points. Twisted Minds secured the third position in the standings with 125 points.

The total prize pool for PGC 2023 comprised a base prize of $2 million, with an additional 25% of the sales revenue from PGC 2023 commemorative items. Danawa Esports, as the winning team, successfully secured the base prize of $600,000.

The tournament MVP was awarded to Seoul from Danawa Esports, who contributed significantly to the team's victory by recording 25 kills and 14 assists across the 18 matches of the Grand Finals. Seoul received a prize of $10,000.
